Serving in anti-human trafficking through Missions

The participant will receive training regarding human trafficking and explore what working within after-care in a residential care unit for women and children looks like in the Finnish context.

Participant will contribute to the daily life of the house by being a full team member of the team. The participant will also be part of the OM team in Finland and involved in some church visits, events etc. Participant will be familiarized with the local church.

The participant will receive mentorship throughout the stay and have the possibility to explore future steps connected to anti-trafficking and missions.

This STM opportunity is part of JusticeLink, a ministry of OM Europe. JusticeLink aims to equip and mobilize individuals interested in serving within anti-trafficking.

Ministry centre/hostel renovation on The Way of St. James

You will be doing practical manual tasks in the renovation of the ministry centre/hostel. We are looking for people who have practical skills in the areas of electricity, plumbing, and masonry as well as general construction skills. We are also looking for people without specific skills who are happy to do general manual labour, cleaning and renovation projects.

Based in the beautiful township of Mamelodi AIDS Hope wants to bring the hope of Jesus into many destitute situations, poverty and broken families.

OM Ships Florence STEP

During this 2-3 month program participants will:

• Serve in our Ministry Center sorting & packing books. Other service opportunities are available on an individual basis depending on the person’s expertise.
• Participate in the OM Ships Florence team life and interact with our international OM missionary staff
• Experience the American culture and have the opportunity to visit one or two nearby cities (Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Charlotte)
• The missions and mobilization awareness weekly class provide provides fundamental knowledge that will help the participant to better understand missions and to engage better with different cultures.
• Improve their English (if appropriate)
• Visit local churches and/or participate in a local church

Refugee Relief - Sports Focus (1 - 3 month option)

Located near the border of Croatia, OM is providing help for the refugees passing through Serbia in two local refugee camps.

In Šid Family Camp we are running simple games, activities and sports for the children and teens.

In Adaševci Camp we have our ‘Tea Tent’, run the camp laundry and join in with the refugees in games and sports. You will have time to facilitate regular sports activities with the guys, and also help out the team with our regular jobs - providing drinks in the OM tea tent, keeping the tent area clean, working in the camp laundry, socialising with refugees, and sharing Christ’s love with them.

Empowerment of the homeless and drug rehabilitation

This opportunity involves working with the homeless and drug rehabilitation. Reserved for male participants only as they will stay at the centre on a separate level with a kitchen and other amenities.

Refugee Relief - Womens and Childrens Focus (1 - 3 month option)

Located near the border of Croatia, OM is providing help for the refugees passing through in two local refugee camps.

In Šid Family Camp we are running a 'Beauty Room' for women to come, relax, connect with us and each other and to have their hair or nails done. We also work with the children, organising simple games, playing sports, watching movies.

In Adaševci Camp we have our ‘Tea Tent’ and run the camp laundry. You will be involved in providing drinks in the OM tea tent, keeping the tent area clean, working in the camp laundry, socialising with refugees, and sharing Christ’s love with them while respecting the rules of the camp.

Refugee Relief - English or German Focus (1 - 3 month option)

Reaching Galicia/Spain

Based in the city of A Coruña on the North West coast of Spain, you will be helping at English conversation clubs or classes and any workshops we might have during your time here. You will be attending a local Baptist church in Spanish. You will be involved with the church youth group and any other events the church might have during your time here.

Customised - Moldovan Village Outreach

You will be working with local churches, organizing a day camp for children, visiting elderly people in their homes, and possibly helping practically where needed.

Ministry of Restauration - Slum Outreach

Ministry of Restoration: It is a Christian project that works with vulnerable children and adolescents in downtown São Paulo. They currently work in 5 different communities (Favela), where children, teenagers and their families suffer from social vulnerability.
The problems detected are: drug use and trafficking, violence, high crime rate, unemployment and underemployment, family breakdown, high incidence of teenage pregnancy, children's learning difficulties and illiteracy.

The Restoration Ministry offers hope in this sad reality.
In these communities, we reach 700 children and teenagers every week.

Serving War Refugees in Poland

OM in Poland is providing psychosocial support and psychological first aid after trauma experience, supporting mums and children fleeing Ukraine. Running kids clubs, youth ministry and women’s meetings we are offering comfort, bringing joy and hope and living out Christ’s love to those who need it the most.

Refugee Relief in Adaševci, Serbia

Located on a highway near the border of Croatia, OM is providing help for the refugees in the One Stop Center "Adaševci" with their ‘Tea Tent’ and the camp laundry. You will be involved in providing drinks in the OM tea tent, keeping the tent area clean, working in the camp laundry, socialising with refugees, and sharing Christ’s love with them while respecting the rules of the camp.

This option is customisable; including the dates and ministry! It is a flexible option designed for people who want to get a taste of mission in a more individualised way.

Love Israel

Israel is a place with varied people groups and religions and the people here need to hear the truth about Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel. The focus area of Love Israel is the Jezreel Valley and participants will get to experience the culture in Israel, partake in the study of God’s Word, learn how to do evangelism, and share the gospel of Jesus to the Jewish people and to Muslims. They will also gain valuable experience in short term missions that will help them do the ministries that God has called them to do in their home countries or in other places throughout the world.

Global Challenge Brazil (Conference + Outreach)

Challenge and motivate you to hear God’s voice and engage with what He is doing among the least reached. There will be an emphasis on evangelism and prayer during this outreach.

Community Development Volunteer

OM Thailand started the ministry in southern Thailand, in 2020. The people we are reaching out are least reached and mostly underprivileged and needy. We are helping the people in need, including but not limited to kids and physical disabled elders. We carry out our services through the partnership with a government school and a local church.

Love Slettheia Summer Camp 2023

"Love Slettheia" Summer week is one of the ministries of OM Norway. It is focused on children between 5 and 13 years old and consists of a summer week where the participants have common recreational activities, workshops in various areas (Music, drama, sports, crafts, dance, photography) and also spaces to reflect and learn from God through Bible stories.

Love Moldova B: Trekking Adventure

Join us for this unique mission opportunity where you will be a part of a cross-cultural trekking team traveling by foot through the remotest and most beautiful, unreached areas of the country. The team will visit churches and families when trekking to different villages and will reach out to youth and children through evangelistic programs.

Love Moldova B: Adopt a Church Outreach

Church groups or ministry teams are invited to partner with one of our Local Ministry Teams to adopt a new church plant in a least reach village of Moldova. This is a village that has had little access to the gospel and discipleship and considered to be the most unreached area of the country.

Love Moldova B: Go 4 Adventure

Join us for a unique mission adventure that you don’t want to miss! In the Go 4 Adventure, you will “Go” throughout Moldova utilizing “4” different modes of transportation: trekking, cycling, train, and horse & cart, bringing the Gospel with you from village to village. Together with a team, you will travel the remotest and most beautiful unreached areas of the country. You will visit churches and reach out to youth and children through evangelistic programs.

Freestyle Dance Ministry: Teenstreet + Outreach

The opportunity will begin with serving at Teenstreet discipleship camp, west of Brisbane where you will be trained in camp leadership skills such as Bible Study facilitation and team planning, as well as assistance with Freestyle Dance Ministry related activities while on camp. You will then be ‘sent out’ following Teenstreet and will be working with schools and churches with Freestyle Dance Ministry, in and around Brisbane, Queensland. You will get to experience the excitement and joy of serving as part of the OM team on camp, and will then be lead by FDM leader; Justin Seidel throughout the outreach component following Teenstreet.
