Area Finance Development Team Member - Africa Area

We are looking for someone to join the OM Africa Financial Development team.  Do you have the skills to be a catalyst for generosity to see that happen? You will be a key part of the work. We are looking for someone who has the character to be self-motivated, trustworthy and who has a keen eye for opportunities. Your work will cover a number of fields across Africa as well as a wide-range of topics, from donor relations, compliance to business and cross-cultural teams.

Requirements

You would work closely with the Financial Development Coordinator in the Africa Area, and will work closely with the communications coordinator to produce follow up reports, thank you letters and creative feedback to maintain accountability.



This role will also require you writing Key Ministry Plans (KMP), follow-up reports, developing key relationships and resourcing.



You will need to be flexible, willing to travel, have the ability to inspire, and a vision to see the work in Africa adequately resourced.



OM Africa is a growing part of OM and with many opportunities for ministry. The strategy in Financial development is to decrease the reliance on foreign funds for a wide range of reasons. A more localised, decentralised model for funding Vibrant Communities of Jesus Followers among the least reached will involve a lot of changes to current practice, so you will need to keep in touch with and help implement the latest thinking from within and outside of the organisation.



This person would be adaptable at first with plenty of scope to specialise in a particular area of financial development, but still participate with the team and ministries. This person would also be part of a global network of Financial Development specialists who work to maintain the highest standards of fund-raising.

Requirements:

- 21 years or older

- Experience in business, finance with good system skills

- A heart to see well planned, well run and well financed

- A passion to motivate and encourage people to record and report well on their ministries.

- Willingness to learn the internal OM systems and to deal with people from all manner of backgrounds and cultures
